LEWP’s Peer Supervision Training is coming up in April for South Australia’s mental health sector. This training aims to empower experienced Lived Experience/Peer workers by equipping them with advanced skills to provide peer supervision within their organsiations and strengthen reflective practice leadership.
Peer supervision plays a crucial role in supporting the Lived Experience workforce. It creates structured spaces for reflection and enhances discipline-specific skills. This training focuses on practical facilitation skills, ethical decision-making and self-management strategies that align with Lived Experience principles. Participants will develop capabilities to hold reflective spaces that are meaningful and grounded in mutuality.
We are now accepting expressions of interest from individuals currently employed in designated Lived Experience/Peer work roles within SA’s mental health sector (both non-government and government). Places are limited and selection criteria apply to ensure participants are well positioned to apply the training within peer supervision contexts.
This training represents an opportunity to build capacity in peer supervision, strengthening both individual skills and the broader lived experience workforce. If you are a leader, consider whether members of your team might benefit from developing these capabilities as part of workforce sustainability and professional growth.
The expression of interest form can be downloaded here, please ensure you review the criteria on the EOI form prior to submission. Contact Lizzie for more information lizzie.graham@mhcsa.org.au
