BlueSky Mind Studio invite you to join us during Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) week as we meet to discuss and learn about BPD and the impact it has on the lives of people experiencing the symptoms of BPD.
Between 2% and 5% of Australians are affected by BPD at some stage in their lives. People with BPD are often misunderstood, discriminated against, and stigmatised, and through the sharing of information we can increase empathy and reduce stigma for those experiencing symptoms of BPD.
BlueSky Mind Studio’s Allied Services Manager Jacob Mottram, a registered Psychotherapist, will present information about BPD and be available for questions throughout the event. This presentation will include information on:
• What the symptoms of BPD may look like
• The condition under which BPD normally forms
• Recognising the psychological depth at which a personality disorder occurs
• What supports can be put in place to help someone experiencing symptoms of BPD
We will also invite some of our clients with BPD to share their lived experience to help you gain an understanding of how they symptoms of BPD affect daily life. If you have experience with BPD and would like to share your story please contact us prior to the event.
Discussion of BPD will continue over a shared lunch that will be provided at the event.
This event was made possible with funding from the Mental Health Coalition of SA and Borderline Personality Disorder CoOperative.
