Bfriend Community Art Project: ‘Lived Visibility’

Loading Events

This November Bfriend will be holding an exhibition showcasing the lived experiences of visibility by LGBTIQA+ communities of all ages. The exhibition will be made up of window displays, representing key groups within the broader LGBTIQA+ community with the aim of sharing our voices, experiences and celebrating our diverse community!

All members of the LGBTQIA+ community are welcome to be involved and be a part in the creation of the exhibition during the month of October. It’s a chance to connect with other members of the community, meet peers, an opportunity to embrace our fabulous diversity and of course have fun and express ourselves through art.

Come along to one of our FREE upcoming open art sessions to help create the exhibition:
• Saturday 8 October
• Saturday 15 October
• Saturday 22 October
• Saturday 29th October

The sessions will be held in the Uniting Communities Pitt Street art studio from 1pm-4pm, and facilitated by the UCity Artist in Residence Claire Wildish, along with Bfriend community workers and volunteers.

Our monthly Non-Binary Youth Group has been working on this exhibition and the next group will be held on Wednesday 12th October 4:30pm – 6pm (25yrs and under) for those that wish to join the group activity.
