To celebrate Mental Health Month, a guest speaker with lived experience of mental illness will join us at Drop In to talk about how the brain processes emotions, share useful skills to manage emotional distress and discuss her recovery journey. There will also be an opportunity to meet other people with lived experience of mental illness and to ask questions.
We’ll do a zine making activity where you can creatively express your own experience of mental health.
The space will be open for the usual hanging out as well. There’ll be board games around, plus the chill out room with extra sensory toys if you need some time out.
Presented by the Feast Queer Youth Drop In, in collaboration with Mental Health Coalition SA, BPD Co & Mental Health Awareness Month.
