In October, Wallis Cinemas will present “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story,” as a special Mental Health Month movie. This film tells the remarkable tale of Christopher Reeve’s rise from an unknown actor to an iconic movie star, portraying Superman. After a near-fatal horse-riding accident in 1995 left him paralyzed from the neck down, Reeve became a charismatic leader and advocate for spinal cord injury research and disability rights. This documentary includes never-before-seen home movies and personal archive material, along with interviews with Reeve’s children and Hollywood colleagues. The film is a moving and vivid cinematic telling of Reeve’s remarkable story.
