Applications are now open for the Festival of Now poster competition!

This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Growing Community”

In 2022, the Festival of Now committee has selected the event theme “Celebrating Our Growing Community” to acknowledge the growth of the Festival over the past 10 years.  “Celebrating Our Growing Community” reflects Festival of Now’s commitment to showcasing the creativity and contributions of artists with lived experience – our community. Our community is diverse—and grows each year as we reach more and more people when we focus on hope, strength, and recovery, and the shared experienced shaped by adversity. We look forward to coming together as a community once again in celebration of 10 expanding years on October 14th.

POSTER ART PRIZE

Every year the Festival of Now runs a Poster Art Prize, where members of the community with lived experience of mental illness submit their work to the committee. Our poster competition is currently open and you can find out more by downloading our flyer here.

The winning design will be used to create the FoN poster, program and all associated press.

Plus receive a $150 voucher and arts hamper to be presented at Festival of Now: Friday 14 October 2022.

If you have living/lived experience of mental health challenges, please submit your digital image to mindshare@mhcsa.org.au

The image doesn’t have to include any details – we’re just looking for artwork that our graphic designer can then rework into the poster format.

We accept entries of all kinds, but colourful pieces that speak to the theme are always popular.
