The Mental Health Coalition of SA (MHCSA) Lived Experience Awards are back for 2021 in partnership with South Australia’s Mental Health Commissioners.
These Awards honour the contributions of individuals, organisations and services in supporting the growth of the Lived Experience Workforce within the government and non-government mental health sectors.
In 2021 three Awards will celebrate the outstanding achievements of:
- Individuals who use their lived experience in designated roles (consumer and carer positions)
- Students who are currently studying, will complete or have completed the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work in the current calendar year
Through its Lived Experience Workforce Program (LEWP) the MHCSA is committed to building and supporting a professional, highly skilled and valued Lived Experience Workforce in the SA non-Government mental health sector.
Nominations are now open for you to nominate yourself, another individual, organisation or service in one category only. Nominations for the student Award will be made by the Registered Training Organisations that deliver the qualification in SA.
Nominations close Monday 30th August with judging held from Monday 6th – 9th September. Up to three Finalists per category will be chosen with winners announced at October’s Mental Health Month Dinner on Friday 29 October at the Adelaide Pavillion, South Terrace Adelaide.
