The Mental Health Coalition of South Australia’s 2020-21 Annual Report is now out.

The 2020-21 Financial Year was a challenging year navigating COVID-19. At the MHCSA we also hosted the 3rd National CMHA NDIS & Mental Health Conference.

We also continued our work representing our members with influencing policy and reform. There was the momentous report released by the Productivity Commission (PC) on their inquiry into mental health where we made representation through written submissions and representation when the PC visited Adelaide.

At a state level, the South Australian Government endorsed the SA Mental Health Services Plan and we provided a high level of input to the plan which includes a range of innovations such as crisis alternatives, NGO mental health service redesign, human rights focus, a housing first approach and growing the lived experience workforce.

You can read our full Annual Report here where you can also find out about the Lived Experience Program and Mental Health Promotions. There is also a full wrap on our advocacy work and the establishment of Peers at Work.
