If you are experiencing a mental health crisis the Urgent Mental Health Care Centre is a walk in service available from 12 noon to 10.30 pm, 7 days a week at 215 Grenfell St, Adelaide. Find out more here.

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency call Mental Health Triage on 13 14 65 they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000.

If you need crisis support and thinking of self harm please call Lifeline 13 11 14 or you can call the Suicide Call Back Service 1300 569 467.

For support with mental distress from COVID-19 call the SA COVID-19 Mental Health Line 1800 632 753 or you can use their online chat here. This service is available 8.00 am to 8.00 pm every day, including public holidays.

Lived Experience Telephone Support Service (LETSS)

LETSS are trained mental health workers with lived experience on the other end using their knowledge and expertise to assist you in making your own decisions about what is best for you. This is not crisis support.

LETSS is a phone and online service available from 5.00 pm – 11:30 pm every night of the week, every day of the year including public holidays and weekends. Call 1800 013 755 or go here for their online chat.

Calls to the LETSS are free of charge (though mobile charges may apply) and callers can remain anonymous if they wish.

LETSS can help you with:

  • information on mental health conditions and where you can go for certain services or support
  • support navigating the mental health system including how to get referrals
  • real time support for when you may feel you are becoming unwell
  • provide follow-up and wellbeing checks if you need them or have recently been discharged from hospital
